Sneezing is a natural act, but in Islam, even this simple moment is an opportunity to remember Allah. The Dua Upon Sneezing teaches Muslims gratitude and humility by acknowledging that every blessing — even good health — comes from Allah. When a Muslim sneezes, they should say “Alhamdulillah” (All praise is for Allah), and the one who hears it responds with “Yarhamukallah” (May Allah have mercy on you). This short exchange spreads kindness, faith, and compassion among people. The practice encourages mindfulness, brotherhood, and a constant connection to Allah in daily life, turning a small physical act into a reminder of divine blessings and mercy.
